The core business of LLC «Detotex» is the designing, development, manufacturing and storage of industrial explosives.

LLC «Detotex» has designed a detonating cord production line, based on slurry explosive materials. Eventually LLC «Detotex» provided the detonating cord production equipment, processing technology and slurry explosive preparation know-how to FTE "Plant named after Y.M.Sverdlov". Previously, only American and Chinese companies utilized these technologies.

Using pasty explosives for the manufacturing of the detonating cord improves process safety and production quality complying with the world standards and requirements.

LLC «Detotex» production output meets the demand for the detonating cords not only in the Russian market but also in neighboring countries and beyond.

DETOCORD RDX LSHV
RDX heat-and-water-resistant detonating cord DETOCORD RDX is designed for application in perforating systems in wells at a temperature up to 170°C during 2 hours. Colored to blue or black.
DETOCORD HMX LSHV
HMX heat-and-water-resistant detonating cord DETOCORD HMX is designed for application in perforating systems in wells at a temperature up to 200°C during 2 hours. Colored to green.
DShS-160 LSHV
RDX heat-and-water-resistant detonating cord DShS-160 is designed for application in perforating systems in wells at a temperature up to 160°C during 2 hours. Colored to orange.
DShS-200 LSHV
HMX heat-and-water-resistant detonating cord DShS-200 is designed for application in perforating systems in wells at a temperature up to 190°C during 2 hours. Colored to red.
Heat-and-water-resistant detonating cords DETOCORD and DShS are designed for gun perforating systems for perforating operations in wells.

The main application area of Detotex detonating cords LSHV is charges in perforating systems used for perforating operations in oil and gas wells.

Types of perforating operations using Detotex detonating cords LSHV:

  • Completion by wireline perforation.
  • Completion by TCP.
  • Thermal-gas-chemical formation treatment to stimulate a well.

Bi-Directional Booster-PP

Bi-Directional Booster-PP is designed for transmission of detonation pulse between sections of hollow-carrier perforating systems during perforating operations in oil and gas wells at temperatures up to 200°C during 1 hour. View chart
Booster-PP is designed for transmission of the detonation pulse between sections of hollow-carrier perforating systems during perforating operations in oil and gas wells at temperatures up to 200°C.

Booster is an amplifier of bidirectional-operation detonation used at the detonation transmission unit, for the detonation transmission inside a multi­sectional perforating assembly from one section to another.

Booster-PP is used together with the detonating cords DShS-160 LSHV, DShS-200 LSHV, Detocord RDX LSHV, Detocord HMX LSHV.


Bi-Directional Booster ZDU

ZDU is used for transmission of detonation pulse in hollow-carrier perforating systems between perforating guns during perforating-explosive operations in oil and gas wells at temperatures up to 170°С during 2 hours.
A special sub is required if DETOCORD and DShS detonating cords are used together. View chart.
Booster ZDU is designed for transmission of detonation pulse between sections in single-action hollow-carrier guns. If used together with a special plug it is compatible with the detonating cords DShS-160 LSHV, DShS-200 LSHV, Detocord RDX LSHV, Detocord HMX LSHV.

Detotex Detonating Cord Manufacturing
The detonating cord, manufactured according to innovative technology, conforms to the quality standards of the world leading manufacturers and is far ahead of Russian analogues. Detonation velocity of the cords is higher compared with similar products of other manufacturers. The technology based on using pasty explosive materials for manufacturing considerably improves the safety of the whole process.
Manufacturing technology

Preparation of slurry
Preparation of explosive slurry in water is carried out with the use of RDX or HMX explosive material.

Braiding and drying
Braiding and drying process: at this stage, the ready-made slurry goes to braiding machines. The slurry is braided with polyester thread and then goes to the drying cabinet getting dry during at least 4 hours.

Control of the semi-product
Dried semi-finished detonating cord undergoes quality control where they inspect the sheathing completeness and the diameter of the semi-product.

Covering and coloring
Inspected semi-finished cord passes coating stage with the use of extrusion process. At this stage, the semi-finished cord is covered with nylon resin Zytel or polyamide together with the colorant. The colorant gives to the cord the final color.

Compaction
In order to improve explosive characteristics, the cord, covered with the nylon resin Zytel or polyamide, is compacted. During compaction process the explosive is uniformly spread throughout the length of the cord.

Quality control
After compaction, the detonating cord LSHV undergoes quality control including labelling and trouble-shooting in the cord coating (e.g. cracks).

Packing
Finally, after quality control the detonating cord LSHV is cut into coils of commercial length and packed in corrugated cardboard boxes.
